Last updated: October 26, 2026
Policy details
Headnoted is operated by Digital Brainwave Technologies Limited (company number 15890629), 149 High Street, Glasgow, G1 1PH, United Kingdom. These terms apply to the Headnoted website and its SEO checks and audits. You can contact us through our contact form.
What Headnoted provides
The free check examines a public web page, its robots.txt and its XML sitemap for technical and on-page signals that may affect whether search engines can crawl, index and understand it. It produces a report without requiring an account.
An extensive audit is a paid upgrade to a report. It examines more pages and provides prioritised fixes, snippets and prompts. AI-assisted analysis is included only where described as available at purchase. The scope and page limit are shown before you buy.
Headnoted Pro is a monthly subscription with an allowance of extensive audits per billing period. The current price and allowance are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. There are no team seats, annual plans or trials offered by these terms.
Our sister GEO checker is a separate service with its own accounts, subscription and terms. A Headnoted account or Headnoted Pro subscription does not include it.
What a report means
A score measures the signals checked by Headnoted. It is not a measurement or guarantee of search rankings, traffic, rich results or revenue. Search engines also use signals a check cannot see. A free check does not test live search results. Where an extensive audit includes a search visibility test, it is a snapshot of one live web search, made through Claude’s web search tool, for particular queries; it is not a search engine’s own rankings or a test of every search engine. Search results vary by location, device, personalisation and time.
Reports can contain gaps where a site blocks access or a third-party service fails. AI-generated text can be incorrect. Review recommendations before applying them, verify facts about your business, and keep backups before changing a website. Reports are guidance, not legal, financial or security certification.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Only submit public URLs you are entitled to ask us to analyse. Do not submit private access tokens, confidential documents or sensitive personal information in URLs. Do not use Headnoted to bypass access controls, probe private networks, infringe rights, harass others or disrupt services. We may rate-limit requests or suspend misuse to protect the service and other people.
You keep your rights in your own content. You permit us and our service providers to fetch, process and store submitted information as needed to provide the requested check or audit. You must have any permissions needed for that use. Our privacy policy explains processing and sharing.
Sharing and downloads
Reports are shareable by default: anyone with the report link can view a public report and its available downloads, including any completed extensive audit. Creating an account lets you save reports and manage sharing. A private report is accessible to its owner. Making a report private or deleting it cannot recall copies other people have already downloaded.
A re-scan creates a new report. Report deletion is unavailable while a paid audit is pending. Deleting a report does not restore a subscription audit already used.
Payment and delivery
A one-off payment buys the extensive audit of the selected report. Pro renews monthly until cancelled. The price, currency and recurring charge, where applicable, are displayed before payment. Stripe processes payments and hosts checkout and the customer portal; we do not receive your full card number.
An audit starts after payment is confirmed, or when you choose to use an included Pro audit. Processing is asynchronous and completion time depends on the website and service availability. If payment is taken but an audit cannot be delivered, contact us through support so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy. Do not buy the same audit again to resolve a delayed payment.
Subscription cancellation and refunds
You can cancel Pro through the customer portal linked from Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; the portal shows when access ends. Unused audits do not roll over to the next billing period. Deleting an account also attempts to cancel its subscription; account deletion stops if cancellation cannot be confirmed.
Cancelling renewal is separate from requesting a refund. Contact us through our contact form with your account email and payment reference for billing errors, duplicate payments, service failures or cancellation and refund requests. Do not send card details.
If you are a consumer, any cancellation rights and remedies required by applicable law continue to apply. Starting or downloading an audit does not, by these terms alone, waive those rights. Nothing in these terms excludes a refund or other remedy that the law requires.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep Headnoted available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that a third-party website, search or AI service will respond. We may change checks as technology changes. We will communicate material changes affecting an ongoing paid subscription before they take effect.
You are responsible for deciding whether a recommendation is suitable for your site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
Changes, disputes and contact
We may update these terms and publish a new version with an effective date. Historical versions and acceptance records are retained. Material changes to an existing paid service will be communicated to affected customers.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections and court rights that apply where you live. These terms do not require consumers to waive those rights or submit to mandatory arbitration.
